Today marks an historic day in NYC where community leaders refused to take no for an answer as they demanded an end to #nypd #stopandfrisk policy.
"Over the objections of the mayor and police commissioner, the New York City Council early Thursday morning approved by veto-proof majorities a pair of bills aimed at increasing oversight of the Police Department and expanding New Yorkers’ ability to sue over racial profiling by officers." NY Times

What did I learn that Congolese can use? Don’t wait until later to challenge the system. Organize now and build alliances with those who want to see peace on Congo.
Very inspirational work, y’all! They said it could not be done. Today it is done. Now we must make sure to be active during the election of the new mayor given he or she will be appointing the inspector general.
